More features in less boxes equates to a more simple, cost-effective, and easy-to-maintain design. The EX200 accepts an HDBaseT input and outputs HDMI. Additionally, stereo audio is extracted and provided on a line level output (RCA) and on speaker outputs (L/R, 25 watts each). Audio is extracted even when the source is transmitting encrypted (HDCP) content, such as a movie origninating from a BluRay™ player. In situations when you want to inject your own music, the EX200 features an integrated stereo audio input jack.

EX200 - HDBaseT/HDMI Receiver with Integrated Stereo Amplifier and Line Out

More features in less boxes equates to a more simple, cost-effective, and easy-to-maintain design. The EX200 accepts an HDBaseT input and outputs HDMI. Additionally, stereo audio is extracted and provided on a line level output (RCA) and on speaker outputs (L/R, 25 watts each). Audio is extracted even when the source is transmitting encrypted (HDCP) content, such as a movie originating from a BluRay™ player. In situations when you want to inject your own music, the EX200 features an integrated stereo audio input jack.

HDBASET

The EX200 utilizes the latest HDBaseT chipset to transmit high resolution images up to 70 meters. The bi-directional nature of HDBaseT allows for RS232 or infra-red controls to work in both directions for independent control of source or display.

RS232 CONTROL

Using the EX200’s RS-232 port, 3rd party controllers can control all major features of the EX200. Volume control, muting, EQ, and audio source selection are just a few options for the Crestron, AMX, or Extron control system programmers. Look at the "Quick Links" section for the EX200 Programming Guide for more details.

SPEAKER OUTPUT

Audio is extracted from the HDMI stream and amplified for exceptional sound reinforcement. This Class D amplifier provides a powerful stereo output (2 channel) at 25 watts per channel (4/8 Ohm) - more than enough for small to mid-size classrooms or conference rooms. Using RS-232, programmers have complete sound control including volume control and tonal adjustments.

AUDIO OUTPUT

Often, the sound coming from a flat panel display or projector is inadequate for smaller boardrooms, conference rooms, and collaborative presentation spaces. In these situations the audio from the EX200 is connected to a set of local powered speakers. Whether the source is a desktop computer, laptop, iPad™, or BluRay™ player with HDCP encrypted content, the audience will hear everything. In some classroom situations, audio from the EX200 can be wired to an integrated microphone mixer then to the speakers for microphone "voice lift" support within the classroom.

EDID

Most source devices send an electronic inquiry to the display asking for information about it’s capabilities. The display sends a table of information called the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID). Using this information, the source device changes it’s resolution to match the native resolution of the display or some other resolution that is supported by both source and display. The EX200 intercepts the display’s response to the EDID table request and sends its own EDID information to “trick” the source into sending it’s content in a particular resolution and/or audio format. This method allows us to change the resolution of the source device without reprocessing the video image and degrading the quality of the native image. The EDID Resolution dip switches can the modified change the EDID table information being sent to the source device.

AUDIO IN

This feature allows users to insert audio from an iPod™, MP3 player, or mobile device. For example, a user subscribing to an online service like Pandora or iHeart Radio might connect the headphone ouput from their mobile device directly to the EX200 for audio entertainment before or after a presentation.

IR CONTROL

The EX200 provides bi-directional control of source devices (BluRay, DirecTV DVR/Receiver, Comcast Cable Box, etc) and displays (LCD screen, projector, TV, etc). This means a user can change the channel on the Dish Network receiver even though the receiver is located in a rack in another room. A compatible transmitter is required for this feature. Contact us for a list of compatible transmitters currently available.
